    Introduction
    Hello, This is my second guide! To View My First Guide Click Here


    Why is this useful?

    Enables a User to shutdown a computer using basic programming. E.G {Downloading overnight OR Runescape Botting }


    Step 1

    1.Go to your desktop > Right click your desktop > Click New > Select Shortcut

    2. The window that has just appeared :

    Type in the Location box : Shutdown -s -t 25 -C "Hello" -> Now you will need to press next.

    {Where it says, "-t 25". The Computer will shutdown in 25 seconds.{ You can edit this }

    Step 3

    3. Once you have pressed next; you will now have to name the shortcut. I Put mine as, "Shutdown PC". Then Click Finish

    Step 4


    4. Now that everything is done! We can change the icon of the shortcut!

    Right click, "Shutdown PC" -> Click Properties -> Change Icon -> Choose Whatever Icon You Want

    Additional Information

    - To Stop The Shutdown from being happening Do this :

    Click Start -> Click Run -> Type in , " Shutdown -A"

    -A Means Abort The Shutdown.

    Shutdown Command

    there is also:
    shutdown -r which restarts computer
    shutdown -l which shutdown computer
    shutdown -f which shutsdown computer with out any warning
    shutdown -t which you add a number of second to which will shutdown computerter on timer
    shutdown -a aborts all shutdown comands

    You can use any of these by holding shift and right clicking on desktop and then clicking open command prompt, then just type one of the commands in and press enter. Hope that helped some people out.
