Zerkerfist
Hello, everybody. I've been on Sythe for 10 months now and have never properly introduced myself to the community. So I've suddenly been inspired to make a staff intro thread and give you all a chance to get to know me a bit better *cough Laptop65*
About me
- My first name is Jazz, and I am 21 years old.
- I live in British Columbia in Canada - where the weed is dank.
- Currently in college part-time, and enrolled in a full-time Computer Science program next year.
- My favourite colour is blue.
- I have an extremely diverse taste in music and listen to just about anything... but my favourites tend to fall into genres of electronic music or anything soft with great singing/songwriting. I am always looking for new music to listen to so suggestions are more than welcome!
- Dogs > Cats
- I joined Sythe 10 months ago in July 2011, and never thought I would become so immersed in the community. I love to help other people in any way possible, and Sythe has been a great opportunity for me to do so in many ways.
- I am completely approachable, so if you ever have any questions, need some help with something, or just need somebody to talk to or listen to you, feel free to shoot me a message or hit me up on MSN.
Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask!
Pics
Now I know everybody is going to want some pics, so I ripped some off FB for you to gawk at:

Haha I threw that in there for Superman
I don't play any sports any longer, but when I was in middle school I played soccer, basketball, and rugby, and was a very avid skateboarder for many years. I was on the rugby team in highschool very briefly (about a month or so), but the coach forced me to choose between work and playing on the team, so I had to choose work. I played many other sports unofficially just for fun, particularly road hockey (my favourite).
I've always been a big fan of watching hockey on TV, getting especially into the games during the playoffs. I also watch a bit of golf with my Dad, which is odd considering a year ago I thought it was the most lame, boring sport to watch on TV.

Thanks bro. Over the past year Sythe and RS have become my main hobbies, but I also really enjoy reading, writing, traveling/camping in the summers, and music. I play a little bit of guitar and I've also been learning how to spin on my younger brother's new Numark DJ decks that he bought a month or two ago

Haha I was debating including my first name or not in this thread (I have never told anybody from Sythe), but I decided what the fuck.
This thread is for you btw, so you can stop nagging me to put one up

Hi SM
So far I've found modding Sythe quite fun and I am definitely enjoying the job thus far. It's nice to be able to finally give back to the site in a different way, and I am now able to help users even more than I could before. Plus, some of the staff perks like a UI and larger avatar aren't so bad!
I'm glad you like my posts haha. I try to make everything I post in Personal Support as genuine and sincere as possible, and it's definitely paid off over time. I get approached by people almost daily who just want to talk about Personal issues and I am very happy that I am able to help

Well, I used to have a much more active lifestyle and spent alot of time at work & out with friends, but since moving back in with my parents last summer I have been living a really peaceful, low-key lifestyle.
If I am not on Sythe, I am usually at school, reading/writing, discovering new TV shows and movies, and often on the weekends I go for short hikes and day trip with my Dad and my younger brothers. The advantage of living in BC is that there is tons of outdoor stuff to do

Thanks PK! Obvs I just wanted to be as cool as you so I made one hehe.
And my musical taste is so diverse its hard to pin it to any one artist or genre, but my favourite songs and artists usually tend to fall into genres of rap & hip hop, electronic music (mostly trance, house, progressive house, electro) OR anything soft and mellow. I love acoustic singing/songwriting, anything with piano, or mellow genres like trip-hop or ambient styles of music.
But when I say I listen to almost anything, I mean it!

Thanks man!
And unfortunately there is no cool story behind my Sythe name I joined Sythe right after I started playing RS again after having quit for 6 years. I was playing on my Zerker at the time, and so when I signed up here to sell some stuff in the market, I couldn't think of a name. Zerkerfist was just sort of a random name that popped into my head and I picked it without thinking I would ever end up staying here haha.
I've kind of settled in to the name and grown used to it, but I don't particularly like it either.

Thanks <3 for the support.
As for the Dogs vs Cats debate, there is no use arguing!
Dogs are much cuter and friendlier, and are much more suited for being a pet in my opinion. I do occasionally find a cat that I fall in love with (especially kittens - I have a soft spot for them), but I find most cats are little bastards, and I cannot stand how they are so independent and basically only use their owners for food & a place to sleep. There is a reason that dogs have earned the reputation as "man's best friend", because dogs build a very special connection with their owners and are much more personable and loving. I like being able to interact with my pet - pet them, cuddle & play, go for walks, take them places, and also the security that often comes with having a strong family dog.
Cat story:
About a year ago when I was living with a friend for about 4 or 5 months, he had this cat named Seven that was very mysterious. It was a really nice and cute cat, but it kept to itself and didn't really like to interact with anybody at all. It had a bizarre story as well, because my friend never actually owned the cat at any point. He had moved into the basement suite in this house and the cat just sort of came with the basement part of the house... it didn't belong to the owners and it was unknown who's cat it actually was. I slept on his couch and I would often awaken to the cat scratching at the door to get outside, or scratching to get back in, and so I was the one who usually got up all groggy and pissed off to let it outside. I also began feeding it and filling up it's water bowl.
About a month after living with my friend, I woke up with a start one night because something had landed on my in the darkness. I was quite startled for a few moments as something semi-heavy landed on my chest and I couldn't see what it was. It took me a few seconds to realize it was the cat, Seven, and I could feel her vibrating as she purred and walked slowly up my chest towards her head, where she then began rubbing her face along both sides of my chin. It was a really cool moment haha, I could feel her trying to show her affection for me and that she had grown fond of me.
Before that point she used to often sleep underneath the dressers or beds, or outside. But after that night she climbed up on my chest, she began to jump up onto the couch where I was sleeping every single night and cuddle up either on top of my chest or right beside my chest/head. I slept with that cat for the remainder of my time at my friend's place, and I still miss my little furry cuddle buddy.
Seven really changed my perspective on cats. I am still very much a dog person, but I now have faith that there ARE cats out there who you can form a mutual loving human/pet relationship with, which is exactly what I like to have with my pets.
