Sticky Situation...
I'm in a horrible position. I've been been stacked with this plethora of Runescape-related problems. I'll state the whole thing in specific detail.
It all started out like this:
I had recently bought an account from RawrImRyan, the account was a 138 maxed main. We used Rsacounttrader as our MM. I
paid for a recovery test, which was 7 dollars, our MM said the account passed the recovery test, so I decided to proceed and buy the
account. I traded 200M to Rsaccounttrader to trade to Rawrimryan. The trade went smooth and I got the account as planned.
Next day, I go and buy an upgrade from this newcomer with 1 vouch, I needed a fast upgrade and more-trusted sellers like inpherus or JC day were offline. Bottom line, I needed the upgrade within the next 5 minutes. I bought the upgrade, traded the guy 10M to his RSN which was Die or Gtfo. I didn't report this guy because I wasn't expecting to be scammed so I don't have any sufficient proof. The guy then proceeded and changed my password. He also probably took the 150M on my account.
No problem right? I got all the details of the account from the trade, and the account, which
passed the recovery test. I entered all the original details and passwords, I waited, and the appeal was denied. The email on the account is still registered to Rawrimryan. All he has to do is check his email and recover it. I tried contacting him many times but he hasn't been online on MSN or sythe since 5/22/11.
Rsaccounttrader offered to help me recover the account but he hasn't had the chance.
I lost 350M--which I bought from Busta306 after saving up for a month.
What should I do? Forget about the account? Keep trying? Also, to anyone who read the whole thing, thanks.

Sorry for your loss but common sense is not trusting newcomers.....they mostly come to scam...sure argument that "we all started there" is unvalid at this point people just scam on sythe

True, but what is really fucking with my mind is the fact that the account passed a recovery details, and I have all information, but it still was denied 5 times. What actions should be taken?

Contact the seller and tell him that your account got hacked. Usually the maker's i.p is what helps you recover the account.

He hasn't been on MSN/Sythe for 3 days. Countless Pms and nudges have been sent but all in vain.

I just sent an email to [email protected] asking them about this. Has anyone done this? Does it work?

If rsaccounttrader was able to recover the account then he should have no problem recovering it again, most likely its because of the IPs rsaccounttrader might live closer to the original owner whereas you may be overseas which makes the IP conflict.

You may have done a mistake here, they will see you're not original owner and can lock/ban the acc, if it will be locked then you're fine, but ban wouldn't be such a great idea. And you can report the 'Die or gtfo' ingame and if he transfered mills to that acc his rs account will be banned for hijacking

Re: Sticky Situation...
rsaccounttrader has no reason to lie about the recovery test passing or not.
Give it time, and I'm sure he will rectify the problem given that he passed the recovery test.
That really sucks though, however be persistent but patient, you still have hope.

Re: Sticky Situation...
Keep trying of course. Its only been 5 days since the seller of your account has been on; not everyone uses this forum daily.

Re: Sticky Situation...
Keep trying to recover it. Don't give up, you can still salvage the account but sorry to say that the money is most likely gone. Recovery tests shouldn't be taken as a foolproof method of buying an account, merely a token saying that the seller MIGHT be legit. The fact of the matter is most account sales are scams either in the beginning or will turn out to be one months down the road. The original owner almost always has priority, even if they have far less info than you do. I wish you the best of luck!
