Close market threads for open scam reports

Basically, if a member has an open scam report that has significant proof, or it is simply missing a minor detail to finish the proof, lock the potential scammers threads until it is resolved. Pretty simple.

Good stuff. Obviously wont be doing it for kids who post "OMFG I W3RE SC4MZED!!" but if everything is in order outside of a missing screenshot or something, Ill make it happen. Thanks.

If they edit the thread, then it may be suspicious, but I cant ban them based solely off that. So in this case, locking it to prevent as well as preserve any proof would be better, at least in my experience : P

this should help prevent some scams. nice idea :-)

but in saying that, it wouldnt be hard for them to copy and paste everything into a new thread.

obviously mods arent going to be checking every1s last post every 5 mins, so there would be a delay of the " New " thread being found if they decide to make another.

As long as moderators have the motivation to keep up to date with which threads to open/close it would really benefit the Rs Markets.

When I close the thread ill be posting a warning to not open another thread until its resolved or it will be a multiple point infraction.

I thought Staff already did this? If not, then they should.

However, it does matter the amount of proof, and honestly, I feel there should be a template for users to use for scammer reports.

Would make things more organized and comprehensible.

Assuming there is adequate proof and enough in the Scam Report to at least warrant an investigation. I'd hate to see someone have there threads closed because someone created a Scam Report and had minimal proof that wouldn't warrant any punishment anyway.

Staff are welcome to close threads at their discretion. If you feel as if someone's a scammer/soon-to-be banned, lock it.
