What the hell? 72 hr grace period for upgrades?
That is the most stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life. Why the hell would you allow this do you not see how many people can and will be scammed with this new idiotic rule? Upgrades are instant and thus it should be a instant trade.
It is hard enough to buy all the pins I require with the very few trusted sellers hardly ever being on. But now the scammers have 3 days to scam as many people as possible? Obviously you don't realize the people who buy pins usually buy multiple at a time for their bot farms which in my case I have 106 bots to upgrade. Thats a substantial amount of gp\money to be risking. I have seen a lot of idiotic things done on sythe but this by far is the worst.
It needs to be taken away.

That's why you only buy from trusted sellers.
With the 50+ upgrades I've sold, none have taken more than 5minutes. Ever.

I always wondered about this 72 hour thing. Don't understand why they get that much time because it really should be quick and easy.
Seen many people even get banned after not applying one for 72 hours so it really isn't a big difference with this rule.

I know I try to buy from trusted people but it sometimes feels like it's impossible to be on when they're on I am buying right now 3 from craiggers I have paid and everything so we will see. I think from now on I'll just sell my gp for cash and upgrade myself it's just wasting my time and cash to be f2p for up to 3 days and then in return have a chance for someone to scam me especially at the times when I need a large amount of my bots upgraded at once. I've seen omm's and other higher ups scam for less than my bot farm would cost to upgrade. I really do think this is just absolutely stupid it's like calling out "hey come here and scam a bunch of people we wont even look your way for 3 days"

it really is a big deal 3 days of a f2p account means I go from making 500-800k a hr down to 30k a hr which is 50m that means I am losing over 10 dollars for every account that isn't upgraded. Also I'm not even really upset about the money loss I'm upset that it will give more people and even semi-trusted people more insentive to scam because they will have 3 days afterwards to scam as many people as possible on sythe.

FYI, sellers shouldn't be using the grace period to their advantage. I don't see why they're doing this. Upgrades should be near instant.

Re: What the hell? 72 hr grace period for upgrades?
I've honestly never understood why 72 hours should be given to apply an upgrade. This rule would only ever apply in RARE circumstances such as being in the middle of a trade when Irene hit, and what are the chances of that even occurring..

Re: What the hell? 72 hr grace period for upgrades?
The context behind the implementation of this rule is as follows:
At the time, numerous people prepay for an upgrade via PayPal. They would PM the person on Sythe with their username, password, and Transaction ID verifying their prepayment. When the user on Sythe logged on, they would then upgrade their account. A 3 day allowance was made for this, as a debacle occurred between a formerly trusted upgrade seller.
Since then, this way of upgrading accounts has not been used, and the rule has become obsolete, moot, and a nuisance.
Just so you guys know, the rule wasn't designed for way of trading, it was designed for the previously common way of upgrading accounts. Such a way has since been outdated and the rule needs to be updated/scrapped.

Very much agreed. Removed the outdated sticky and the rule no longer applies.
