A new post count rank at 4,000 posts
Ok, blade bro4 suggested "new post count ranks" or something indecisive a long those lines, not sure what came of it, but here goes...
There are a lot of people getting more than 2,000 posts these days, and IMO a higher rank would be appropriate; 'Legend' at 4,000 posts. Why 4,000? Well it's double Grand Master (which is double Guru, follows the pattern...(?)) which seems fair.
The original post count ranks were designed (in 2005 I assume) when there weren't as many members thus not as much posting going on, so I reckon it's time for a new rank to accommodate the posting habits of users of 2011... A new post count rank beyond 2,000 is also added incentive for users to continue posting too, I guess...
Thoughts?

I think this is a pretty good suggestion, but i think it should be like 7,000 posts to be Legend. Just my thoughts :P

I also noticed Fin has exceeded 10,000 posts. I also suggest there be a rank for this Milestone. I suggest ranks called " Champion " , "Epic", "Dedicated" , "Hero".

I personally think it should be 5k and 10k, but 4k (and 8k) would be alright as well. I would like "Elitist" and "Forum Legend" as the two new titles :P

I've been wanting one at 4K also. It just seems like a goal for people in the 2K-3K range to keep on posting.

It's not really needed as pretty much every one at that post count can have a custom UT by being a mod or a high level donor.

I personally think @ 5,000 posts, the post count rank should be 'Veteran'. Anyone that can accumulate 5,000 posts is undoubtedly a veteran to the forum, and I think it ties in well with the current ranks.

I think a 4k/5k would be the only one necessary. The guy with the most posts non staff was like 7k with Determ and he is staff now. I am partial since I am close to 4k though. By the time you get 10k you will almost definitely be a mod.
