It sounds kind of selfish, but it's truly needed. I get many PMs a day and as a OMM, it comes in handy to save some of your old PMs just in case you've dealt with a scammer or something. I'm at 485 messages right now and it'd be nice if it was extended or something. This could probably be another perk for $300+ donators.

Opinions?

Inbox expansion is on the DNS list although I don't have a problem with it

Or it could be extended to 1000 for OMMs and staff (idk what it is atm). Since it's good practice to PM before trades, I support. It's easy to max out in your inbox when you do 10+ trades a day.

For all sectionals (except Market), it's 500. Market/Globals is 1000.

And to those saying it's on the DNS list, yes I realize that, but that can always change since it's not exactly suggesting more for everyone, but a special usergroup of people.

I'd like an Administrator approval/disapproval on this.

I think you having more than sectional moderators is a bit far, And im pretty sure its not hard to delete Old PMs..

No, it's not hard, but I'd like to keep some old PMs just in case something comes up. Sectional moderators (besides Market) don't get as much PMs as OMMs do (based on experience). Most of us are based in the Market so the extra space is needed for sending multiple PMs a day. I don't understand why all sectionals don't have 1000 inbox messages.

I'd like globals to get 2k inbox but I suppose I can just dream for now. I get 45+ a day and its getting annoying to a degree

That'd be fine too actually. OMMs/sectionals with a 1000 inbox, and Globals with a 2000 inbox.

What is the rational for low inbox space? Do they really take up that much space on the server? And I understand giving 240293 members 100 messages adds up to alot, but why not make it huge (10k+) For high donors (say 100+)/OMMs/Mods, that way PMs can be kept for a record of things.

Even though I am not an OMM, I can see your point.
OMM's get TONS of pm's daily, asking them to be the mm in a trade. They are pm spammed all the time with questions and random pm's.

And I've even had times where I tried to pm a omm, and it won't let me because of a full inbox.

2bh, I dont think its selfish at all. OMMs get alot of PMS daily and its best to keep some reports just for that case, if a scammer comes along; you got the information you need. But I agree with this. You as the people who maintain the community NEED available spaces for PMs. With that said, I support this; but for this to take part you need to share benefit factor. Giving Sectional/Globals a little more reach also.

I wouldn't mind if 1000 was made the 300 donator perk (we don't have any apart from the rank).
@Karl, I keep all my important PMs, which are now at about 300, giving me a 200 message inbox.

Also, PM's doesn't count as good proof on scammer reports, or do they...?

It is fairly cumbersome to have to screenshot every potentially crucial PM every time I have to erase my inbox...

Isn't it possible to make an archive, so after every PM deleted it goes to some kind of personal archive?

Anyway, even though I'm not an OMM, I could see it helping out a lot.
